Pianist Andreas Teufel started his musical career at the music school Pernitz. At the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz he studied with Alexandr Satz and completed his studies in piano performance with distinction in 2007. Currently he works as a coach at the Kunstuniversität Graz. Before that the musician lectured as a vocal coach at the China Conservatory in Beijing

Andreas Teufel was a former member of a promotion program of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation and held an honorary prize of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research. He participated in courses of Wolfgang Watzinger, Peter Feuchtwanger, Günter Reinhold, Jos van Immerseel (fortepiano), Axel Bauni (vocal accompaniment) and Joze Martinez (coaching). Important artistic impulses he also gained from Lisa Smirnova, Harald Ossberger, Friedrich Cerha and Mari Kiyofuji.

So far, his performances have led him from Austria as far as South Africa, China and Ethiopia. Contemporary music always has had an important role throughout his journeys. 2011 he gave a solo recital at the renownedViennese festival for contemporary music “Wien Modern”. Between 2013 and 2016 he regularly ran Lieder studios at the AIMS summer festival in Graz.

Andreas Teufel is not only a multifaceted soloist, chamber music partner and coach but also a founding member of the Stella Artis Ensemble, the artist platform KlangGut, holder of a doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Technology in Vienna and plays the traditional Viennese button accordion in several folk music formations.
