Pianist Andreas Teufel started his musical career at the Musikschule Pernitz. At the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz he studied with A. Satz and completed his concert specialized studies in piano with distinction in 2007. Currently he works as a coach at Graz University of Music and Performing Arts. Before that the musician lectured as a vocal coach at the China Conservatory in Beijing. Andreas Teufel, member of the Ö1 Talentebörse (an institution for honorary prizes of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research), participated in courses of W. Watzinger, P. Feuchtwanger, G. Reinhold, J. van Immerseel (fortepiano), A. Bauni (vocal accompaniment) and J. Martinez (coaching). Important artistic impulses he also gained from L. Smirnova, H. Ossberger, F. Cerha and M. Kiyofuji. Furthermore, Andreas Teufel was a scholarship holder of Boesendorfer and winner of the Austrian competition Jugend Musiziert. So far, his performances have led him to Austria, Germany, Belgium, South Africa, Egypt, China and Ethiopia. Contemporary music always has had an important role throughout his journeys. 2011 he  gave a solo recital at the Viennese festival for contemporary music Wien Modern. 2013 and 2014 he ran a vocal class at the AIMS summer festival in Graz.

Born in Wiener Neustadt, Andreas Teufel is not only a multifaceted soloist, chamber music partner and coach but also a founding member of the artist platform KlangGut, holder of a doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Technology in Vienna and dedicated to the maintenance of the Austrian folk music tradition.
